Many of our employees have been with our office for a number of years.

Dentists
	Pat Colbert, DDS As a partner since Family Dental Center opened in 1981, Dr. Colbert enjoys making patients comfortable and providing the finest care. He is originally from Royal, Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa.  He says, "We have a great team here... people that are caring, take pride in their work and know how to laugh and have fun getting to know our patients."
	Orin Ellwein, DDS Dr. Ellwein has been with Family Dental Center for 23 years. He grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from the University of Nebraska. He appreciates the opportunity to help patients maintain their health, and having a friendly, fun environment to work in - "like a family," he says. "We truly are dedicated to excellence. We care about our patients and each other and have fun doing our jobs."
	J. Vincent Jones, DDS One of the original Family Dental Center partners, Dr. Jones grew up in Huron and graduated from Creighton University. Dr. Jones says, "A new patient coming to Family Dental Center will feel at home, comfortable asking questions and impressed by new technology and the warmth of the office."
	Ryon Reckling, DDS Dr. Reckling has been with Family Dental Center for six years. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, was born in Philip, SD and grew up in Valentine and Lincoln, NE. "We have a great environment where positive ideas toward improvement are encouraged. These ideas evolve through motivation and teamwork to make us one of the best dental practices in Sioux Falls. We are committed to keeping abreast of all the latest developments in dentistry to be able to provide the best possible care for our patients."
Dental Hygienists
	Dianne   Originally from Canistota, SD, Dianne graduated from USD and has been with Family Dental Center for over 22 years. She believes the quality of care at Family Dental Center is second to none. "Our office will take care of dental concerns with comfort, good quality dentistry and a caring approach."
	Marcia   Marcia grew up in Hartford, SD, and has spent over 22 years at Family Dental Center. Her Dental Hygiene education was completed at USD. What she likes best about her job is the relationships staff develop with patients and with one another. "We have wonderful doctors and staff to make your visit very enjoyable,"  she says.
	Lisa    As a Family Dental Center employee for nearly 17 years, Lisa is from Sioux Falls and graduated from USD.   She says Family Dental Center has a great staff and wonderful patients. "We go the extra mile to help our patients with their oral health needs. We are dedicated to excellence."
	Dawn   A graduate of USD, Dawn is from Elk Point, SD, and joined Family Dental Center nearly six years ago.  She believes it is important to build relationships with patients because the clinic is a healthcare facility, and "it's not always just about teeth." Dawn says, "We have four great doctors to meet everybody's needs and priorities. The whole office is very patient and accommodates and listens to each individual's concerns."
	Rachel   Rachel joined Family Dental Center in November of 2007 with 6 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist. “I like the one-on-one contact and getting to know my patients. I enjoy helping people take care of their teeth – smiles are contagious!”
	Theresa   A graduate of USD, Theresa joined Family Dental Center in November of 2008. “Patients always come first. The doctors are great to work for. They not only care deeply about their patients but they care about their staff too. Our office strives to be the best we can be. I really enjoy my job and getting to know my patients.”
Clinical Assistants
	Cindy   Cindy has been with Family Dental Center for 17 years. She is from Hartford, SD, and especially enjoys the people she works with and the patients. "We will treat you like family," she says. "We have some of the most caring and understanding dentists around."
	Kelly   A native of Lennox, SD, who attended SDSU, Kelly has been a Dental Assistant at Family Dental Center for 12 years. She especially enjoys her coworkers. "We take time to accommodate all our patients' needs.  We have had some apprehensive people really get over their fear of dentistry and that's neat to see."
	Jessica A ten-year veteran of Family Dental Center and Sioux City native, Jessica graduated from Western Iowa Technical Community College. "I enjoy my colleagues and getting to know our patients. It's a comfortable office with a great staff," she says.
	Sonja   A native of Scottsdale, Arizona, Sonja has been with Family Dental Center for five years. She graduated from Heritage Community College in Denver. What she likes best about working at Family Dental Center is "being able to be a part of a team that brings so many great smiles to so many faces."
	Linsay   Linsay grew up in Columbus, Nebraska, and joined Family Dental Center nearly five years ago. She's one of many employees who says the staff is like family. "The doctors are all very gentle and the first visit is very easy," she says.
	Sarah   Graduated from Alpena High School, attended Northern State University and now lives in Brandon. She previously has worked in dental offices in Huron and Canton SD. “The office brings a nice family atmosphere and you can always count on a smiling face here!”
Office Staff
	Vicky   With 26 years at Family Dental Center, Vicky, the Administrator, really knows the ropes. She grew up on a farm hear Sinai, SD. Vicky loves the atmosphere and the culture of the office. "I would tell a new patient that 'you'll love it here.' People are friendly, professional, caring. We explain what's going on and you are a partner in the decisions about your dental care."
	Pam As a Business Assistant, Pam has worked at Family Dental Center for 21 years. She is originally from Carter, SD. Pam enjoys the staff and patients. "Our staff is very dedicated, and you'll find a warm, friendly atmosphere."
	Rachelle Rachelle has been with Family Dental Center for over nine years, working as a Business Assistant. She is originally from Sioux Falls. "Patients receive excellent care here, in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Everyone works well together and helps out where needed."
